This week we released the 2012 Mother’s Day Catalogue (check it out here) featuring 20 fantastic WAHP businesses. Amanda Foy blogged about living the freedom we promised ourselves when we became self-employed and my latest blog post on Startup Smart talked about building a community by employing the High School Musical Principle…. Below is my roundup of what is on offer from our Premium and Longterm Sponsors this week.
After a wee break over Easter, I am getting back into the swing of things this week finalising the 2012 Mother’s Day catalogue. Our finals competition was neck and neck, right to the end. We had more than 6000 unique visitors to the website in a week and more than 1200 votes in the competition. Congratulations to Handmade by Beez who will feature on the front cover of the catalogue after securing more than 420 votes! I can’t wait to share the final catalogue with you.
Welcome to the weekend wrapup! Have you checked out the latest entries for the Mother’s Day Photo Contest? This year’s entries are going to be so hard for the judges to choose from. While I’m on the subject of judging, I’ve decided to step down as a judge so that the process of picking a winner is truly impartial. So, one of our Support a WAHP bloggers and page admins Lucie Battaini from MultimediART has stepped up in my place.
Judging by the number of retweets on Twitter, my blog post “Does the thought of shining scare you?” really struck a nerve with people this week. It even made it into a blog post on Small Biz Trends! If you struggle with the mumpreneur poverty mindset I encourage you to have a read and see if my story resonates with you. This week we also introduced the first of our new guest bloggers on Support a WAHP, Amanda Foy. Support a WAHP is a community and it seems only fitting to offer an opportunity for leaders within our solopreneur community to share their insights, tips and resources.
Below is my roundup of what is on offer from our Premium and Longterm Sponsors this week. If you want to follow our Support a WAHP Sponsors, I’ve set up an interest list for sponsors here: http://www.facebook.com/lists/10150625762943183. You can subscribe to interest lists that other people create! I can see this is going to be so much fun!
What’s inspiring you this week? We’ve just kickstarted our Mother’s Day Photo Contest (Make sure you enter) for 2012 and already some beautiful images have been posted. I cannot believe it’s March already! We’ve also welcomed two new admins to the Support a WAHP Facebook Page: Lucie from MulitMediart and Tracey from Spice West! Big thank you to these two fantastic WAHPs! Here are my picks from our sponsors this week:
If you’re new to Support a WAHP, you might not know that the businesses that advertise with us are some of the most supportive work at home parents/people in the Support a WAHP community. By becoming paid advertisers and volunteers, they help fund the several free activities, promotions and competitions we run through out the year to provide opportunities for work at home people. If you have questions about working at home, I encourage you to get in touch with one of our sponsors or join our member community where we all connect on a regular basis. Each week I have a browse through our sponsors’ website to see what’s new! Here’s what I found from our sponsors this week:
